Moldovai Katalin
Best Short Film

Moldovai Katalin (b. 1982, Dej, Romania) is a film director and screenwriter. She studied Film
at Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania (Cluj-Napoca) and completed her MA in Motion Picture Arts at Budapest Metropolitan University (Budapest).
Her debut feature Without Air (2023) won more than twenty awards worldwide, including the FIPRESCI Prize and the Competition 1–2 Award at the Warsaw International Film Festival, the Audience Award in Arras, the Best Debut Film in Belgrade, and the Hungarian Film Critics’ Award. Earlier, her short film As Up to Now (2018) was selected for the Cinéfondation competition at the Cannes Film Festival and earned her the Best Director Award at the Annual Copenhagen Film Festival.
She has also directed several short films and documentaries, which were screened at international festivals. Her films have been presented at major festivals including Toronto, Palm Springs, Göteborg, and Sofia, and are characterized by socially engaged storytelling, exploring contemporary issues through personal narratives and emotionally resonant perspectives.
Itandehui Jansen
Best Feature Film

Itandehui Jansen was born in Oaxaca, Mexico and studied film directing at the Netherlands
Film Academy in Amsterdam. She participated in different international training programs, such
as the Berlinale Talents and the Torino Film Lab. Her films have screened at international
festivals such as the IDFA (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam), The Morelia
International Film Festival, Washington D.C. Shorts, ZINEBI, and SLAMDANCE. She was
nominated for the Mexican Film Critics Award Diosa de Plata 2013. Her feature drama film ‘In
Times of Rain’ won the Award for Best Emerging Feature Film at the Oaxaca Film Fest. Her
feature film ‘Itu Ninu’ received multiple awards, among others the Festival Grand Prize at the
Arizona International Film Festival. At present she teaches Screenwriting and Directing at
Screen Academy Scotland.
Kim Toft Hansen
Best Danish Film

Kim Toft Hansen is a film and media scholar from Aalborg University. He has taught and
researched film and television production for the past few decades. His favourite short
film is Alain Resnais’ Nuit et brouillard from 1956.

Nicholas Tory
Best Animated Film

Nicholas Tory is an award-winning artist, artistic director, designer and film maker. Nick’s
multi-disciplinary practice encompasses a range of site-specific collaborative art projects
including sculptures, installation, light-based art, and animated films.

Tom Oxenham
Best Comedy

Tom Oxenham is a British Australian director and screenwriter. After training at the National
Youth Theatre and National Film & Television School, Tom first directed for theatre before
moving to film. Tom’s work has screened at BAFTA-qualifying festivals worldwide, winning
several awards in the process. He has directed commercial work for Universal Music and Mars,
and is the writer and co-creator of BBC Radio 4 series THE ISLAND.
